About Drahuws
Deidra Hunter, known artistically as Drahuws, is a visionary Creative Director and artist who has shaped the sports, entertainment, and creative industries for over a decade.
As an artist, Drahuws captivates with her vibrant limited-edition mixed-media works that draw inspiration from history, pop culture, and music. Her pieces, rich in color and powerful in message, highlight black culture and historical heroes. Among her most acclaimed works is the "PGA 'BAD MAN',” an homage to Charlie Sifford, the first African-American to compete on the PGA tour. This piece has earned recognition from top golf trendsetters and the esteemed brand Malbon Golf, which collaborates with giants like Nike, Polo, and Callaway.
Drahuws' creative prowess also shone at NFT x NYC 2021, where her "The Black Kristofs" collection took center stage on the world's first physical NFT basketball court. Handpicked by Krause House, a DAO with ambitions to own and operate an NBA team, her art played a pivotal role in a groundbreaking collective basketball court project, highlighting the convergence of sports and digital art.
Her collaboration with Patrick Barr, aka Tiger Hood, further exemplifies her impact, capturing the vibrancy of New York City’s street culture and celebrating non-traditional Black art.
Deidra’s mission is to inspire and connect people to their subconscious minds through her art, celebrating black heroes and ancient monarchs while intertwining pop culture elements. Drahuws continues to be a trendsetter, creating art that challenges and inspires audiences worldwide.
